As a little girl, I was fascinated by the glass figures in the windows of our church. Still inspired today by these windows’ brilliant sun touched colors, each one telling a different story, Ribbons Stained Glass came to be. Quality materials and good craftsmanship are of the utmost importance. The challenge is met in designing and creating a piece, most with over 24 steps to complete. A wide variety of original ideas and projects have been made with more to come. Bring the beauty of quality handmade stained glass into your home. Ribbons Stained Glass is in Southern Ohio located in Brown County near the Mt. Orab, Ohio area and you may contact me anytime for an appointment at 513-312-8597 or by email ribbonsstainedglass@frontier.com

Over the past few years my desire to see more stained glass has led me to the Navy Pier in Chicago to the Stained Glass Museum. This picture is from one of the many beautiful windows on display.

Another trip took me to Urban University to view the “In Company with Angels” display of 7 large church panels from Cincinnati overseen by Louis Comfort Tiffany in the early 1900’s. These windows were recently rescued and professionally restored and are now touring the United States. Here is a photo from that visit of the angel “Philadelphia”. During this visit I had an opportunity to have two of my panels verbally appraised by Garth Associates. To my surprise they were valued at much more than I expected and I was kindly encouraged “to continue my fine work”.

In addition, a tour of Kokomo Glass Company in Indiana was real exciting and educational. They are the oldest stained glass manufacturer in the U.S. This photo shows the huge sheets of stained glass in storage.
